How reducing the use of plastics contribute to net zero

The world is facing the increase of carbon dioxide emissions and it in turn affect climate change. With the increased danger and risks to global climate change, countries are racing against time to make shifts towards net zero.

Reducing the use of plastic is essential because it prevents pollution and reduces the use of fossil fuel consumption while saving the use of natural resources and energy. In turn, it reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which are contributing to climate change.

What are good alternatives to plastics?

Stainless Steel, glass, bamboo, ceramics, platinum silicone etc. These are materials which can be used for reusable food and beverage storage.

How does using a water dispenser help with sustainability?

With the use of filters, you can refill bottles with drinking water. The need to purchase a plastic bottle for drinking water is significantly reduced. Also, the use of energy is also reduced when re boiling is not practiced. Tankless systems do not contain a water tank hence there is no re boiling activity. The kettle, for instance, needs to be re boiled if the water is no longer hot. The re boiling activity requires energy and that energy could otherwise be saved with the use of a tankless water dispenser. The solution is Freshdew®, the tankless water dispenser that is compact, and wall- mountable.

With the use of Tomal’s eco bottles, you can now reuse the drinking bottle multiple times without the need to get a single use plastic bottle. Fill up temperature hot or cold water and have it stay consistently the same for up to 12 hours. That means you can enjoy that pure drinking water later in the day.

Sustainability is the way forward and so little steps can contribute to net zero.
